This was my 1st cake for my little ladybug's 1st birthday
Then I volunteered to do my niece and nephew's 2nd b-day party, and their mom had thought about a fondant cake, so this was my "practice" cake which was for her b-day. Working with fondant definitely is messy and not as easy as it looks. So, therefore, wasn't happy with the turnout.
These are the twins smash cakes
And here is the "masterpiece" :) Yep, I call it that because of the HOURS I spent on it and I ended up being VERY proud of it.
This is the 1st time I've done a sheet cake. This cake was HUGE! I've also posted a few process photos just so you can see the yummy insides.
A couple of guys that I work with both had birthdays in December, so I thought I'd get creative and make them a dual cake with something they have in common. One is a coach and one is a ref. So...there you go. A 3-D B-bay cake.
My nephew was here around his 1st birthday, (lives in California) so of COURSE I asked to make his birthday cake(s) while he was here. This first one was his HUGE smash cake. This picture doesn't do the actual size any justice. Then there is the full body Cookie Monster. I LOVE my new tip that makes fur/hair.
